A great piece Paul. A horrible thing to write about, but as usual, you have done it professionally and with a good understanding of the situation and the mood of the country.

An excellent and poignant account- thank you for expressing this so truthfully, sensitively and accurately. It reflects perfectly my concerns in recent years and indeed the mood of the country. I hope the tragedy will make the country return to true equality in the face of the law. That would be something, but how dreadful that lives have been lost on the alter of CRT and DEI.

I was waiting for you to write about this case and you’ve done so eloquently as usual. I so wish you were more in the public eye Paul, We need people like you with intellect, passion and real life experience to speak out.

As you have called out the downsides of multiculturalism before I want to draw your attention to an article in the Spectator by Andrew Gilligan that has shocked me today. It is connected to the racialising of institutions. It’s entitled “ The disturbing truth about the National Association of Muslim Police” and it is an unbelievable example of how a special section within the police openly declares Zionism as anti-Muslim hate and defended Hamas, also the wish to spread their influence. I mention this because it is so wrong! we are now in so deep with identity politics in this country that what race or religion you are seems to have completely overtaken the fact we are first and foremost humans, citizens of a nation and not tick box inhabitants!

Thanks, Mary. I'll look out for Gilligan's piece.

We should be nostalgic for the days of the Freemasons running the Police where their greatest concern was the possible influence of the Catholic Police Guild.

Tories and Labour created the conditions for this evil to flourish.

Tory Wets, are not and never were any kind of Tory. I have no idea why politicians with a left wing ideology would want to join the Tories,,however I understand even less who true blue Conservatives allowed them to.

As always, you’ve smashed it. For someone I first saw on GB News expected to put the opposite side of my political view, I’m not sure I’ve seen any of your writing that I couldn’t agree with. If I could write as well as you, this is exactly what I would have said . 👏

The establishment has been rumbled, and they do not like it.

They are desperately clinging to the wreckage of their morally bankrupt ideology.

Stabbed and beaten! How long before that disgusting family called the Police!

How long as the family removed and tried to hide the knife, because they knew he'd been stabbed. How long watched as his life drained away, Henry couldn't sit up. How long to come up with the 'turban' story because they knew Plod would react to a race crime against them!

Henry's poor family even had to experience more abuse at that disgusting family's hands post the court case! Fvcking scumbags ALL need jailing then deporting any British citizenship removed!

As for those coppers! I do not care if one's retired, been relocated following threats. All very convenient for your mate Mahmood to shift focus. Whether their crap DEI indoctrination played a part.

9 times he said I can't breath as his lungs slowly filled with blood. 5 times 'I've been stabbed only for that POS filth to say I don't think you have mate! They did not check him except 3 square inches of skin! Wankers!

Yet all Starmer, who couldn't wait to get on his knees for crack head fetynsl riddled career criminal Floyd, all our pointless PM can do is blame Farage! For what?

Saying what any sane person should be feeling! Utter rage at DEI and this bullshit woke obsession that has gripped the western world. No it needs to end!

Those Plod should face charges! Gross negligence manslaughter!

And yet the progressive, liberal left still believe they are somehow morally superior.

Heartbreaking story, if only our political elite could admit to the damage they’ve caused to society, and try to right the wrongs they’ve caused, rather than deny what is happening. I don’t know what the answer is, but we must not let any more lives be lost, because police don’t act, or the courts don’t deal adequately with the offenders.

RIP Henry, and may god give his family the strength to cope with their loss.

Hi Paul 👋

Fantastic piece .

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions "

In the aim to create "equality " ( if that was the original cause ) they have just created a racial hierarchy ( BLM ), they infected the media and politics with there antisemitic conspiracy theories. It was as if no one in media / journalism or politics looked in to what BLM stood for, they embraced them despite clear evidence that they promoted antisemitic conspiracy theories , celebrated Oct 7th terrorist attacks on Israel by hamas .

"All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others "

Have a lovely week Paul and other readers 😃

We live in times of madness and delusion. It cannot end well if allowed to continue.

Yup, there may have been an oversteer but trust me the racism of the police in Hackney is still visible. As you say they are also employees who don't want to get marked down, or want to get marked up re their DEI training and they are not some of the cleverest people in the world and I think that's the key thing here. It's a tragedy that police on a regular basis make situations worse by being pig-headed [ no pun intended ] and stubborn and not listening to witnesses. Regardless of DEI training, in the situation, the failure of the police to listen to both individuals is criminal.

On a wider level why has elements of the British state gone down a 'woke' path? What is the logic for a police chief to take a knee or wave a 'Pride' flag? Isn't that the logic of neo-liberal capitalism? Keeping us all divided and individualised consumers? Much easier to police than a united working class. But they didn't calculate the reaction we have seen from sections of the majority working class.

I'm also not keen on this Two Tier phrase in this context, and it's use by the Right. They want us to forget that there has always been a divide in justice, 'One Law for the Rich, One Law for the Poor'. That is the same has it has always been, and we musn't be distracted from that.

Perfectly well articulated as always, Paul. As you elude to with Jack Straw and based on the fact that even Blair, whose vile government architected the disgraceful situation we are in today, is criticising the status quo, you know things are bad. However, despite a "large chunk" feeling the two-tier society we live in I don't understand whatsoever why so many continue to vote for the two parties that got us here. There is only one party who is shouting for drastic and radical change, yet their polling has gone down in recent months. It's mind boggling that people, especially the red wall continue to vote for Labour. Burnham has managed to draw back many voters from Reform. Are these voters so daft as to think that Burnham will make any change at all. He's pro-Europe. That's enough to know he's pro-freedom of movement and therefore pro-immigration and doesn't care for the working class. Reform may have more Thatcherite economic policies (although I'd argue they are much more tame than she was) but will that make the working classes so much worse off than they are now? The majority of Labour MPs hate the working class and deride them every opportunity. The priority must surely be to remove this woke, diversity-obsessed useless government. If we don't have free speech and equality before the law then it doesn't matter what your economic policies are because only chaos will ensue.Only Reform has the will to dismantle the public institutions and rebuild them. Labour has no plan for this. If people continue to vote for these parties, especially Labour, nothing will change. Either the electorate has to wake up or perhaps many fewer people care about two-tier policing than one might think.
