You probably won’t agree with all of Mr Embery’s policy prescriptions, but he will force you to think outside your usual political grooves — Wall Street Journal
THIS afternoon, I joined GB News to discuss the riots spreading across France and the possibility that we will experience similar outbreaks of violence here in Britain.
As a firefighter of 29 years’ standing, I was particularly sickened by the appalling attacks on les pompiers. Footage of one such attack - which resulted in a fire appliance being completely destroyed - was replayed during my interview.
I profoundly hope that the perpetrators face justice.

Great contribution as always, Paul. The Lebanonisation of the UK feels disturbingly closer each year.
Shocking to see firemen attacked in the line of duty when they are already doing a dangerous job. I completely agree with you and hope they are punished appropriately. I truly hope we don’t become segmented like Lebanon: in some respects and in some areas it can feel segmented, but as a country we must resist any attempt to accept this or institutionalise it.
