On Friday, I took part in an hour-long debate on Radio 4’s AntiSocial. After the University of Bristol decided to drop the national anthem from some of its graduation ceremonies, the programme asked if it was time to change the anthem to something more relevant to the modern age. I argued against any change. On the other side of the debate was Naomi Evans, co-founder of the ‘Everyday Racism’ project.
