On the Daily T podcast this week I heard an interview with Sharon Davies,she was contacted by a woman who took her 10 year old daughter swimming with her daughter’s 10 year old friend.
Whilst changing two fully intact males stripped naked next to these young girls, donned female swimsuits and left for the pool.
The mother whisked her daughter and friend away asap, later she complained at reception and was told that, we allow self identification.
This is the stark reality of trans ideology,a safeguarding nightmare.
On occasions I find Pythonesque humour in all this nonsense, but the example I have given is anything but humorous.
I totally agree that of course men should not be allowed in any specific women's spaces.
But neither should young boys be stared at by older men either. And so I do think he trend away from communal changing at public facilities and towards cubicles - either individual or family - is a good thing.
Well said Paul. I am horrified that this is still going on. I think the Equalities Act needs to be repealed. Even Trevor Phillips who was one of the original authors of the legislation has admitted he had no idea what sort of fantasy land it would produce where men can don a dress and pretend to be a women and be accepted as such.
Well said Paul. I am fiercely Gender Critical but I’m not a transphobe. Having been on the gay scene from the 80’s I have socialised happily and easily with transsexuals without acrimony. They acknowledged they were men living as women, respected the boundaries of natal sex and spaces and we all got on a treat. Fast forward 40 years and there’s a dark underbelly of men who think they’re women trying to claim our hard won rights and spaces. If they really were women they would understand, but they’re men and always will be.
Good piece Paul. But I sadly don’t believe for a second though this ideology is over. The Labour Party have been totally embarrassing in this. How do they look themselves in the mirror? The reason for any change in their attitude is probably down to loss of votes. This ideology, part of woke, is a cancer and as such is not easy to cure.
We may have to wait a little while longer for Common Sense ( purposely using caps) to enter the room- perhaps when the children ostensibly in charge are put to bed.
Good piece, Paul, and I'm in full agreement. However, I wonder what would happen if a Labour Party member proposed a male only conference? Unanimous condemnation would be my guess. It seems that only women are allowed exclusivity these days. Where is our 'Minister for Men'?

You're right Paul that the tide has firmly turned against this utter nonsense and for me, I think a big turning point came when the public saw that photo of the Scottish man, a rapist, who was trying to get himself placed in a women's prison.
Wearing skin-tight lycra leggings, everyone could plainly see what was clearly NOT a female body part bulging from within.
Up until then, I think probably the vast majority of people took little interest in the subject and pretty much assumed that 'trans' merely meant men who liked wearing dresses, high heels and make-up. The prevailing view among the 90% who don't generally participate in political debate outside of elections was 'who really cares if a man wears a dress? It's a bit daft, but so what?'
But when the madness reached such extreme proportions to the extent that there were men - either completely bonkers or, in the Scottish case, clearly opportunistic - actually saying: 'I AM a woman, because that's how I feel', and illustrated by that particular case, it was then that the mass of opinion shifted decisively.
It's very sad that the insanity of a few small and deeply unrepresentative committees of Aslef, Unison, Usdaw and MU are effectively banning their own women from participating in this year's Labour Women's Conference - but hopefully the women in these unions will rebel, fight back and boot out the nutters.

If members are unhappy with the direction of a trade union they can challenge from within , if that fails they can simply cancel membership of union, once the money dries up the leadership will then take notice.

As someone who was a longtime member of one of these unions I can say that the tradition was that the union officer's role was seen as 'representing' the will of the membership. Unfortunately the ideological far left that now holds many senior positions has replaced 'representing' with 'instructing'. Because of course, they know what's best.
The way to resolve this is to ballot the membership and then represent their views. Fat chance!

Maybe, the point is that young girls should not have to hide away in cubicles because some men want to pretend they are women.

I remember being at Labour Party conference with you and that issue about the proper use of pronouns was brought up from the rostrum.
The bloke who mentioned it was about six foot five, eighteen stone and called Patricia.
He got rapturous applause and we just looked at each other and you said ‘we can kiss goodbye of getting elected again if people think he’s a woman!’
Emperors new clothes comes to mind.
Labour were only elected in 2024 because the Tories failed miserably. There’s still no love for the party. For any party come to that.
