I thought it was strange and inappropriate to preach the woke message to the UK at this event, but I am not surprised. The re-education and social engineering of the British continues.

I'd also like to see an end to the politicisation of our sports events too, tediously in evidence yet again with the knee bending display before last week's Boxing Day fixtures. And why is it only in England that we are still subjected to this when the rest of the world has seemingly moved on?

Excellent Paul. Sadiq Khan wants to politicise everything to get his message across that he is a progressive. I believe he will not be re-elected. As you say it is polluting our common space.

As a provincial, I’m considering starting a #notmycapital campaign. My thoughts started after Khan’s campaign about Trump’s state visit to the UK.

While no Trump supporter, he was the Head of State of a friendly ally. On his home turf, Trump’s behaviour was and is not to my taste. In the UK, he behaved impeccably. It was Khan, taking it upon himself to speak for the UK, who was gross and ill mannered.
