Paul Embery is one of the most interesting, insightful and original voices to have emerged in British journalism for some time — Douglas Murray
On Friday, I was invited on to the Alex Phillips show on TalkTV to discuss the prime minister’s attack on Nigel Farage (and whether it proves that Labour is running scared of Reform), the rise of national populism across Europe, and Lord Hermer’s likening of critics of international law to fascists.
The segment can be viewed below.

Great job Paul, Starmer is exhibiting the death throes of a politician who is completely out of his comfort zone.
Alex is incredibly articulate and together you gave a very clear picture of the realignment of British politics and Labour never got the memo.
Farage for PM in 2029, reverse takeover of the dead Tory Party before then.
Great job Paul, calm rational and composed as always unlike these awful Talk TV presenters. They yap on like Vanessa Feltz on a daytime talk show or some rangy member of the public who gets his five minutes in the mic. Why can't they just speak in a normal tone that without the exaggerated exasperation. It makes them seem really unintelligent. The opposite of how you present yourself. But then again what do I know about broadcasting!
