When I saw the title of this i thought "Has Paul really got the Spice Girls back together for his 'Spice Girls Christmas special ? " and then realised it was about Brexit 😉
I really think that remainiacs believe that the working class voted the wrong way ( a trait imported from the EU ) , that they were WACIST , far right and fell for Russian propaganda. If they really want this pissing contest then they better bring a massive umbrella 🌂
This country is a tinderbox that could explode at any time , why would they poke the sleepy bear ?
The contempt they held for brexit supporters was not a surprise then , as it isn't now .
Good luck Paul 👍
Have a lovely weekend Paul and other readers 😃
Ps really looking forward to that "Spice Girls special " 😉
Have a good weekend yourself, Daniel. I do so enjoy your friendly and humorous comments and you're always first! Makes a nice change from diving straight into the business at hand.
Dont tell Paul , but I actually look forward to his Saturday morning posts , I do like his writing style ( especially “Despised “ , available at all good book shops .
But the most important thing is like about him , is that he is a “signpost “ ( tony benn quote) and in politics on the left and right we are missing “signposts “ , far to many dishonest weathercocks 😀
Ha ha mum's the word. I hadn't even worked out that giants come in on Saturdays! I shall equally look out for them then.
I completely agree with your assessment of Paul and his writing. So refreshing. The signpost analogy is a perfect one! Enjoy the rest of your Saturday.
For me , i watched the parliamentary debates on ",the Lisbon treaty " which , once rejected was repacked as "constitution treaty " ( which is how labour got out of holding referendum back then " , i heard the phrase "just keep voting till you get the right answer " .
Thats why I support sovereignty to uk parliament.
I still trust the collective wisdom of the uk electorate ( well , when it comes to choosing the least worst anyway ) .
Whilst I usually encourage you to leave Labour's sinking ship and join Reform (for now, to get Labour out, and then rejoin Labour after, to continue your good work, and not least because you mention the word "reform", small r, here and there 😉), it may be wiser to stay where you are to stop the rot from the inside. It's such a shame that we didn't take the golden opportunity that Brexit afforded us. No government, not least that traitorous snake Johnson, has ever embraced it and attempted anything close to taking back control of our sovereignty and putting it to good use.
It's interesting what you say about the working classes mostly voting to leave. I can only assume they've changed their mind as they've been lied to about being poorer because of Brexit. Given that Labour is on a new high in the polls despite the pro-EU rhetoric and announcements of increased immigration through safe routes (the two main drivers of Brexit) who is it that is voting for Labour? I believed it was red wall voters leaving Reform and going back to Labour now Andy "can-do-no-wrong" Burnham is in charge. Or perhaps they don't pay close attention to what he's saying. I can't work it out.
So much of what is wrong with the Westminster Elites derived from their never soulfully having left the EU. So now we have the worst of two worlds: 1.) belonging in heart to the EU, 2.) without having been true to the sovereignty demanded by Brexit. For instance, we have not been plagued by the free movement within the EU that has incited (and about to incite further) the societal plague infecting France … but, instead, we have gone down the two tier road whereby Shabana Mahmood is deviously creating pathways for Palestinians to enter Britain. Not even Egypt will accept Palestinians because of the violent chaos that they bring … but Britain will now import that evil to our shores. We now have endured rape gangs, Piddington, and Gosport … and we are inviting more chaos and violence to our shores! Smoldering dissolution awaits. Madness and Chaos await.
Well said Paul although I’m not sure it isn’t a double bluff by Burnham to get some easy wins from Macron et al on the assumption he is serious when he may not be. Good politics if so. Should the AFD win a majority in Germany and National Rally in France next year the Fabian side of him may make him rethink anyway.
I believe we all know that the next election will be important for this country’s future. As a previous trade unionist I’m very pro blue Labour however I’ll be sticking with Reform to “try” and deliver a complete reset. Krugers outlined Reform policies our worth digesting and exactly what we need.

The Remainers have convinced themselves, leavers didn’t know what they were voting for.
I did, I absolutely did.
I began having doubts about the EU, when I saw the treatment of Greece, of Ireland, and didn’t like how a trading bloc, had morphed into a monster.
I read essays, I watched old videos of Peter Shore, Tony Benn, and knew we were better out.

Bravo Paul, thank you for fighting for sanity!

Best of luck with the fight.
