The magic words are always 'community cohesion,' that breaks down whenever the public are proven right however, so yes they have something to hide no doubt.
Feels like more Police cover ups. They really don’t do themselves any favours because the “truth will out” and then people really will be angry with more damage to their reputation

I am currently reading a book that shows our police forces and local authorities can be seriously untrustworthy with regard to the handling of evidence. That book is 'Broken and Betrayed' by Jayne Senior, about the Rotherham grooming gang scandal. She worked in Rotherham with girls who were being seriously abused, in a project called 'Risky Business'. Back in 2002 that project was employing Adele, a lawyer, to collect together all their information about abusers. After a request from the Home Office's 'evaluators' team, who were researching the prevalence and nature of child sexual abuse, Adele sent off some of her findings to them. She was then severely reprimanded by her boss for doing so. Then, a few days later they discovered that their office had been entered the evening before and all Adele's files had been removed. Moreover, her computer records had been deleted as well. Not only that, but the invented minutes of a meeting had been entered, in which Adele had supposedly agreed not to send data to the evaluators without line management approval. Their line manager was replaced by another one.
Jayne writes that they never learned who had been responsible for the theft of data, etc. Presumably it involved senior council staff but also possibly the police, who had previously been showing very serious reluctance at receiving such information about abusers.
It is clear from reading the book that back in 2002 political correctness and fears about being considered racist were having a strong influence on the behaviour of police and public officials. I also wonder what other factors might have been influencing them. Since then the societal influence of political correctness has increased significantly.
As history has shown repeatedly, it is always the cover-up rather than the original event that brings the authorities down. Merseyside Police, the government, the media are all candidates for censure.
We already know that at the first sign of rioting the Prime Minister went into overdrive to quell it spreading. They knew full well that all hell would be let loose if it was found to be a terror attack so instructed police chiefs not to inform public of the incriminating evidence which must have been found on day one. Don’t expect to be told the truth Paul it won’t happen.
Sometimes these discussions take on a strange nightmare quality and it is reassuring that we will eventually wake up, unfortunate that we should have taken a sleeping pill and waking up may be more than a struggle.
Paul I picked up my iPad this morning after the Southport mass Islamist murderer s guilty plea and the controversy over it to find the BBC has launched an investigation into a the far right. Yes it’s a groupuscle of angry folk called Patriotic Alternative that the state broadcaster decided to infiltrate. Now Dame Sara Khan the “Counter Extremism commissioner’ is calling for this group of blowhards and fantasists to be banned. She is the human rights grifter who has been appointed from an Islamist background to head up this QANGO. It’s a disgrace that with thousands of Islamists most of whom are not under surveillance the BBC and the government are focusing on the fractious far right. She cynically uses the Pakistani.Muslim rape gang issue and Southport to argue that politicians in the right are fuelling the fire. See below if you and your readers want to see what we are all paying for.
Interesting question you pose Paul. They certainly don’t do themselves any favours by their continual obfuscation.

And then when you accuse the police of withholding information the left brands you as a conspiracy theorist.
And they wonder why no one trusts the police. Please keep at them and keep talking about this.

This is a good article - Now we know that this man was referred to Prevent several times etc it makes one wonder what exactly is the point of Prevent?

While a trail is pending I do understand.
Hopefully the trail will reveal the truth and foi not necessarily needed .
It's the same as the BBC won't mention name of former lab mp arrested on child sex charges .
No name until charged , with Southport no full picture till trail over .
